Proposed New Customer Loyalty Program

Hello All,

Jit is thinking about changing the Thai Touch customer loyalty program.  At present the program is to offer regular customers the following loyalty program: each time you have a massage you can have that massage recorded on a record card. After you have ten massages, you get the next one free!

But there are a couple of problems with this system: People lose cards, or forget to bring them, what if you get a couple of shorter or longer massages – what is a fair length of massage for the free one?  (and maybe there can even be mistakes in recording the information – it is a little bit of a cumbersome system to maintain).

So, Jit is contemplating a new membership system.  Basically, once you show you are a long term customer (after ten massages), you can ask to become a member of the Thai Touch Club.  You would get a membership card that would entitle you to:

One Hour Traditional Thai or Relaxation massages for $75 (instead of $85).

Significant discounts on massage creams (up to 50% off)

The membership would be ongoing – not an annual membership – so, once you are in the system, you stay in!

Jit is also thinking of a slight variation on this for those who choose it: If you think you are going to be a long term client, then you could pay a once only membership fee (e.g. on your first visit) for $100. You become immediately entitled to $75 per hour massages (Traditional Thai or Relaxation) from then.

This would be Thai Touch – Massage Utopia’s way to say thank you to its local and regular customers.

At this time, Jit is seeking feedback on this new proposal and welcomes your input.

Of course, if this membership system is adopted, then the old loyalty program would be phased out – don’t worry, all existing obligations would be met.  Those who are on the existing ‘ten massages/the next one free’ system could elect to keep going for the balance of the ten visits, or they could put the bookings they already have toward the new system.  As Jit would say: “Up to you”.

So, what do you think?  Please let us know.
